The Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
The Children's Health Insurance Programme (CHIP) may be available to your kids if they require medical coverage.
Children in households that make too much money to be eligible for Medicaid can receive affordable health insurance through CHIP. Pregnant women are covered by CHIP in some states. Each state has a CHIP programme and collaborates closely with its own Medicaid system.
Apply for CHIP and find out whether your kids are eligible.
For CHIP eligibility, each state programme has its own set of guidelines. Any time of the year, you can submit an application to see whether you are eligible. If you submit a Medicaid application to your state's agency, you'll also learn if your kids are eligible for CHIP. You won't need to purchase an insurance plan to cover them if they are eligible.
Call 1-800-318-2596 (TTY: 1-855-889-4325) to apply for CHIP. Fill out a Health Insurance Marketplace® application. If it appears that someone living in your home is eligible for Medicaid or CHIP, we will forward their information to the relevant state agency. You'll hear from them regarding enrollment.
You'll learn if you're eligible for an individual insurance plan with discounts based on your income when you complete your Marketplace application.To begin, either register for an account or sign in with one you already have.

Anytime of the year, you can apply for and enrol in Medicaid or CHIP. With regard to Medicaid and CHIP, there is no time limit on enrollment. If you are eligible, your coverage can begin right away.
CHIP coverage what
Each state offers a different set of CHIP advantages. However, all states offer full coverage, which includes:
* yearly exams
* immunisations
* doctor visits
* prescriptions
* dental and vision care
* inpatient and outpatient hospital treatment
* laboratory and X-ray facilities
* emergency services

What CHIP will cost
CHIP covers free "well child" doctor and dentist appointments. Copayments, however, might apply to other services. For CHIP coverage, some states levy a monthly fee. Each state has various costs, but you won't have to fork over more than 5% of your family's annual income.
